And so – Another year begins! Full of challenges.
It is so Invigorating!
It is 2021 and I have a solo local exhibit through February 28 at Ramunto’s Brick Oven Pizza at 176 Main St. in Keene, NH. Due to the covid pandemic all previous exhibits, open studios, and market events were cancelled in 2020,and remain questionable for at least the beginning of 2021. All teaching opportunities have been on hold since early Spring of 2020, and I truly know what the term “starving artist” is. I have gratitude for the patrons and collectors that have kept a roof over the studio in the past year and hope things will improve this year.
I am planning a ‘New to me” small works project for thew month of February.That will be 28 paintings in 28 days. Daily works and All works 5×7 or smaller unframed for $95 each. I will be posting them on facebook daily and these 28 paintings will be featured in a separate gallery on the website so check back soon for information and an opportunity to purchase a gem of a painting while they last!
One great thing I have learned in just the few days of 2021 is that time passes much more quickly when you are working on larger canvasses. To wit I will need to add some serious hours to my studio session to meet the challenges ahead for 2021. With shorter daylight hours in the months ahead, I will dedicate myself to more work and less social time hoping to build another large body of work for all to enjoy! Happy New Year to you all.
